Our History

Kellerman Insurance, located in a downtown historical building on the town square, has been a family owned business for more than 40 years. Dale Kellerman, now retired, began at this same location in 1962. Dale’s daughter, Cindy Hower, joined the agency in 1981. Other past business associates include H.J. Hershey of Holton and the late James E. Parmiter. Today, Cindy and her husband, Roger Hower, enjoy managing the insurance agency and also provide real estate services through Kellerman Real Estate.

Agency acquisitions over the years include: The Jess Sproul Agency, The Otto Brandt Agency, The Johnson-Geis Insurance Agency at the Farmers State Bank, The George Bhear Agency of Holton, The McClellend Agency from Hoyt and the Cornerstone Agency of the former Kansas State Bank.
